Two Voices

Out of a long-lasting friendship with somebody who also sings but totally differently, interesting things can arise… Each of us began separately a long time ago but after some years we accidentally met on one stage and found out that it worked well. Therefore a project called Two Voices – Dva hlasy was created.   

A unique connection of two various female voices in a perfect harmony.A mezzo-soprano Gabina Pesinova (State Opera) or Daja Simickova and a Chanson singer Jana Rychterová sing songs from many genres (spirituals, Jewish songs, classical music, original production, folk songs) and they create a velvet harmony in an impressive whole. Recently, classical pieces with the original text by Jana Rychterová have more often been included in the repertoire than ever. At present they are Humoreska (Humoresque), Ragtime and Šavlový tanec (Saber dance), Na krásném modrém Dunaji (On the Beautiful Blue Danube), sonata Patetická (Pathetic) but also some completely original chansons. Two Voices performance is a guarantee of a great musical experience, master performance and humor.  

For everyone who does not like to be disturbed with humor by listening to music we have surprise. We prepared lyric evening consting of alterations Bohemian, Moravian and Slovak folklor songs, select from songs of Bohuslav Martinů and Leoš Janáček.

Money, money Thanks to the Nomination night of Český lev (Czech lion) we have worked on the song Money, money from the repertoire of ABBA. However, there is also a Czech text which should have been heard originally but could not (any adaptation of songs was not allowed to so everybody hurried to learn the original for ČT2 (Czech television) broadcasting). And we will not, of course, let it die – we will make a new song from it when it is so beautifully cynical J

Turecký pochod (Sabre dance)We were going by car to the ČT1 broadcasting to the town of Karlovy Vary and Jana was kissed by a muse… Sabre dance about football can be listened to in the samples.

Na krásném modrém Dunaji (On the Beautiful Blue Danube) Strauss’s waltz On the Beautiful Blue Danube should have been a text on love. Nobody knows what happened but eventually this famous piece of work was texted with a delicious recipe for “pečená panenka s bešamelem” (roasted dolly with béchamel)…

Frozen When it has come to Edita’s mind that we could put Madonna’s Frozen together it seemed to be a crazy idea. Finally it is quite a smash. And exactly this song was sung in a program by ČT1 called Challenge on June 28. What about watching it in Video section?
